Charles A. Shaller, M.D.

Dr. Shaller joined Carolina Ophthalmology in January of 1994, and practices in Carolina Ophthalmology's Franklin office on a full-time basis.

Dr. Shaller received his medical degree from the University of Southern California Medical School in Los Angeles, CA, where he also performed his ophthalmology internship. Dr. Shaller completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, TX, Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Shaller has a special interest in a wide range of ophthalmic surgeries, including no-stitch cataract surgery, glaucoma, and corneal transplants. His special interest in glaucoma led Dr. Shaller to pursue additional training in this subspecialty of ophthalmology. Dr. Shaller performs both surgical and laser procedures for the treatment of glaucoma.

Dr. Shaller is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
